YARMOUTH, ME – Summit Utilities, Inc., parent company of Summit Natural Gas of Maine (Summit) was recently named as one of the Best Places to Work for the Second year in a row. Mainebiz along with the Society for Human Resource Management - Maine State Council and Best Companies Group recently announced the rankings where Summit ranked 8th in the large employer category (250+ employees in the U.S.).

Companies from across the state entered the two-part process to determine the Best Places to Work in Maine. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final rankings were managed by the Best Companies Group.
