YARMOUTH, Maine (April 1, 2022) – Summit Natural Gas of Maine (Summit) has launched its 2022 charitable giving grant program for qualifying nonprofit organizations that serve its service territory.

β€œAt Summit, we understand we are only as strong as the communities we serve. Providing community resources is one of the ways in which we can support our customers and community members,” said Matt Jacobson, Director of Sales and Marketing in Maine.

Through the program, $20,000 will be donated to qualifying organizations in Maine that focus on Food Insecurity and Child Well-being & Advocacy Programs.

While we will welcome all applications submitted, Summit strives to align our budgeted community dollars to support community organizations across our service territory, impacting our areas of focus. Successful grants will be awarded to 501c3 non-profit organizations that focus on food insecurity and child well-being and advocacy programs.

The application window is open now through May 13, 2022. Grant recipients will be announced by June 1, 2022.

Unfortunately, Summit cannot consider requests from outside our service area. We also cannot give to political organizations and most school fundraising efforts.

In addition to supporting community causes, Summit also provides members of our team with up to 20 hours of paid time off each year to volunteer in the communities we serve.
