Summit Natural Gas of Maine Launches Contractor Connect Program to Reward HVAC Contractors

The program rewards contractors with $500 for each new qualifying natural gas conversion

PORTLAND, Maine (June 30, 2026) – Summit Natural Gas of Maine, a subsidiary of Summit Utilities, has launched Contractor Connect, a new HVAC contractor referral program designed to reward contractors who help connect homes and businesses to natural gas service.

Through the program, HVAC contractors can earn $500 per meter installed when they submit a qualifying lead and complete the installation. The program applies to both residential and commercial conversions, creating an opportunity for contractors to increase earnings while helping expand access to natural gas across the state.

“Summit Natural Gas of Maine values the work contractors do in acquiring leads and completing conversions, and we want to reward them for it,” said Jessica Carter, conversion sales coordinator at Summit Natural Gas of Maine. “Contractors help local homes and businesses enjoy reliable, versatile natural gas, and this program is designed to provide extra money to contractors for their work.”

To qualify for the incentive:

• Contractors must submit the lead and complete the meter installation. 
• The lead cannot have already signed a contract with Summit or already been working with a Summit sales representative. 
• The meter must be installed, and natural gas service must begin. 
• The contractor cannot have any property interest in the property.
• Leads must be submitted on or after Jan. 1, 2026, and be located on current-year main lines or infill lines.

Required information includes the contractor’s name and phone number, along with the customer’s name and address.
